Hello Paride,

I am sorry to let you know that the bug is back again.
After the fresh installation, sound worked perfectly. However, 1 or 2 days
later, and probably after an update, it stopped working again.

I then solved the problem for myself by switching to PulseAudio again.
So probably there is some error in PipeWire/WirePlumber...

Best regards

Robert

Title:
No sound in Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
After installing Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS on my Intel NUC mini destop PC, no sound
output was available anymore. Neither in any sound-producing apps nor in the
soundtest in settings.
I must add that at the same time sound works perfectly on my HP notebook with
the very same Ubuntu version installed.

With help from Chatgpt I tried multiple possible solutions and finally
found one that worked: I switched back to PulseAudio from
  PipeWire/WirePlumber.

I saved the Chatgpt chat for your information:
