Title: software updater says there are more updates but wont do them Status in python-apt package in Ubuntu: New Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Software updater starts automatically when it detects a new set of updates. When this is done it shows new 'Other updates'- 42kB with a sublevel 'System components' both with checkboxes, but you cant select the checkboxes. BTW at the bottom of the window it says 16.6 MB will be downloaded (not 42Kb). You have to cancel to close the window.
