Yes, and now marked as such. In oracular the issue is still there, but since the main concern was the impact on the live install ISO, and that ship has long sailed, I have marked that as low priority. Feel free to change to "won't fix" if that seems more appropriate. ** Also affects: mesa (Ubuntu Oracular) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: mesa (Ubuntu Plucky) Importance: Critical Status: Incomplete ** Changed in: mesa (Ubuntu Plucky) Status: Incomplete => Fix Released ** Changed in: mesa (Ubuntu Oracular) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: mesa (Ubuntu Oracular) Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2080620 Title: Compositing/Semitransparency of Plasma/Kwin broken using llvmpipe on x11 since mesa 24.2.2 Status in Mesa: New Status in mesa package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in mesa source package in Oracular: Confirmed Status in mesa source package in Plucky: Fix Released Bug description: Version: 24.2.2-1ubuntu1 Release: oracular 24.10 After upgrade to mesa 24.2.2-1ubuntu1 in oracular, compositing/semitransparency of Plasma/Kwin broken using llvmpipe on x11. Very noticeable on Plasma widgets/panels. This is particularly prominent for testers trying our live ISO session (is still X11 for compatibility) in VMs such as Virtualbox/qmemu/etc with no acceleration. With the 24.10 beta coming in less than a weeks time, this is bad timing. EDIT: Also as a result of this issue, the try/install screen on the live ISO session is wrongly tinted orange. This occurs under the same conditions as the transparency issue. An issue has been opened upstream by a user/developer on Mandriva with the same issue. https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/11840#top Screen shots can be seen there of the impact. I have commented and added screenshots from Kubuntu 24.10.
