after looking through the dependencies of gnome-power-manager the most
likely source of this information seems to be upower and libupower. I
will add them to this bug report.

** Also affects: upower (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided

Title:
Logitech Mouse MX Master 2S incorrectly identified as keyboard

Status in gnome-power-manager package in Ubuntu:
  New
Status in upower package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
A Logitech Wireless Mouse Master shows up as a keyboard for gnome-
  power-statistics. That's clearly a bug.

I also don't quite trust the battery stats for the mouse. It shows
charged even when unplugged (and obviously discharging at this point).
The 100% are most likely also wishful thinking, solaar reports the
  battery as 90%.

This is on a noble host.
