Ubuntu 24.04 and up are affected. Workaround: add keepkerneltimestamp="on" in the rsyslog.conf: --- module(load="imklog" permitnonkernelfacility="on" keepkerneltimestamp="on") --- [1] https://github.com/rsyslog/rsyslog/issues/5160 ** Affects: rsyslog (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: rsyslog v8.2312 (introduced in noble) has a fix to make keepKernelTimestamp=off[1] work. - This caused the keepKernelTimestamp=off become the default value and kernel timestamp disappeared from the kernel logs. + This caused the keepKernelTimestamp=off become the default value and kernel timestamp disappeared from the kernel logs.
