Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
network-manager 1.46.0-1ubuntu2.2

Wi-fi keeps asking for authorization with seemingly random intervals and
more often at computer start-up.

Seeing some tips online, I checked the options for the connection in
network manager and there were two BSSID choices in the dropdown. I
fixed the address to one of them. This caused a new connection in
network manager to appear for this SSID, with suffix "1". The new one
shows 130Mbps (2.4GHz) for link speed and 2.4GHz, 5Ghz, 6GHz as
supported frequencies. It seems like the new one is working now. I fixed
the BSSID of the old one to the other choice in dropdown and that one
asks for password all the time.

I think I solved the problem for this case with the BSSID workaround but
I still wanted to post this. It's a friend's computer who is a first
time Linux user and she wouldn't be able to solve this on her own next
time.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
