After restarting the computer I checked things again. It is not so good as I wrote above. I was not patient enough to watch the bluetooth button for a sufficient time. The behavior (upon clicking the button in the On state) is:
The button gets the pale colour, keeps is for about 1-2 seconds and then gets the deep colour again. So, it looks that a click on the bluetooth button has the effect of RESTARTING bluetooth device instead of switching it off. Contrary to yesterday, the colour of the airplane mode button remains unaffected. My Wi-Fi is permanently off during these tests today. The command-line action works as expected - even the Off --> On switching works and it is correctly indicated by the bluetooth button colour. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2103923 Title: bluetooth cannot be turned off on Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen3 Status in bluez package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Description: Ubuntu Plucky Puffin (development branch) Release: 25.04 bluetooth: Installed: (none) Candidate: 5.79-2 Version table: 5.79-2 500 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu plucky/universe amd64 Packages I expected that clicking on the bluetooth button (displayed in a deep orange colour) will switch bluetooth off. In reality what happened was that the button got a pale colour only for a 1/3 of a second, the airplane mode then turned on for again a fraction of a second and finally all gets to the initial state - bluetooth on, uselessly consuming energy and making the device less secure. As for Wi-Fi, it is off (I am on a cable connection).
