I don't disgaree that apt is making bad decisions, however: A: You have enabled a foreign arch that you can't execute binaries for. Expect to have to toe a fine line here. You can't install anything that wants to execute anything in a postinst. B: Nothing here is a bug in python3-defaults.

I suspect this is a packaging mistake as 22.04 didn't have this issue and I've noticed this in 24.04. I believe some packages should have a virtual dependency on python3-minimal without specifying which architecture it uses right?
