Nouveau error "unknown chipset" on start. NVIDIA GT 840M

Bug description:
So... seems it is impossible to make a GT 840M work on Ubuntu. Nouveau
says "chipset unknown, drm failed". The official driver gives a pink
screen. The driver from the repository fails because some counter > 1.
Sorry for not being more precise. Have reinstalled Ubuntu 4 times
allready in 1 day and Im kind of demotivated to do it again and take
pics or whatever.
