Public bug reported:

When pluging a headset to the computer (Huawei Matebook D14) the
headphones are not recognized as an audio output, nor the microphone
headset as the input. Instead, the audio output and input are considered
the speaker and microphone of the computer, respectively. Sometimes the
audio might still come out of the speaker, and sometimes just silence.

At "Settings", in the section of "Sound", when the headset is plugged,
the audio output device changes from "Speakers-Comet Lake PCH-LP cAVS"
to "Headphones-Comet Lake PCH-LP cAVS". Likewise, the input device goes
from "Digital Microphone-Comet Lake PCH-LP cAVS" to "Headset Microphone-
Comet Lake PCH-LP cAVS".

Maybe it has something to do with the Sound Card driver?
