I think I'm having very similar problems. Linux xxxxx 6.8.0-51-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Dec 5 13:09:44 UTC 2024 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux It's HP Elitebook 840 G7 with Intel CPU (10710U). Using external monitor via HDMI.
gnome-flashback: 3.52.1-2ubuntu1 libgtk-3-bin: 3.24.41-4ubuntu1.2 Similar behavior. If the screensaver turns off display, sometimes it comes back, sometimes it does not. Also have problems when logging in. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Temporarily logging into wayland and then trying gnome-flashback fixes the logging problem with logging in. Weird that the error happens in different lib (libgdk vs libgtk...). Maybe it is not the same, but resulting behavior is the same. I'm a little bit suspecting the GPU drivers. kernel: gnome-flashback[31596]: segfault at 608b1c27f9a8 ip 0000786c2335d32e sp 00007ffee2ed3bb0 error 4 in libgtk-3.so.0.2409.32[786c23083000+3ae000] likely on CPU 11 (core 5, socket 0) pro 17 17:48:25 drejk-HP-EliteBook-840-G7-Notebook-PC kernel: Code: 2e 0f 1f 84 00 00 00 00 00 0f 1f 00 f3 0f 1e fa 55 48 89 e5 41 54 41 89 f4 53 48 89 fb e8 ca 64 ff ff 48 85 db 74 45 48 89 c6 <48> 8b 03 48 85 c0 74 05 48 39 30 74 0c 48 89 df e8 1d 46 d3 ff 85 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to gtk+3.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2091647 Title: gnome-flashback crashes with segfault libgdk-3.so.0.2409.32 Status in gtk+3.0 package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I have ubuntu 24.04 Linux myhost 6.8.0-49-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Mon Nov 4 02:06:24 UTC 2024 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux gnome-flashback - 3.52.1-2ubuntu1 gtk3 - 3.24.41-4ubuntu1.2 Currently I cannot leave the laptop unattended as it will crash the desktop after a period of idle time.
