Public bug reported: Dear All
Problem: The passwd command fails for a local account added by adduser if using systemd-homed and local accounts together when using pam-auth-update to configure pam and selecting systemd-homed support in pam-auth-update. Workaround: It seems removing use_authtok from /etc/pam.d/common-password fixes the issue. removing that line seems not to be the best Idea in my understanding but works for the Moment. Kind regards Mike ** Affects: pam (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Project changed: launchpad => ubuntu ** Package changed: ubuntu => pam (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to pam in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2081713 Title: passwd fails for local account if using systemd-homed and configuring pam with pam-auth-update Status in pam package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Dear All Problem: The passwd command fails for a local account added by adduser if using systemd-homed and local accounts together when using pam-auth-update to configure pam and selecting systemd-homed support in pam-auth- update.
