Title: No password prompt is given after locking the screen Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hi, occasionally when I lock my screen there is not prompt for entering the password presented. Therefore, I cannot unlock the screen anymore. The only thing displayed is my Username in a frame, but not the username itself. There are two ways to workaround the bug. Either rebooting the maschine or suspending it(for which I used another bug in the pwer management that enables me to suspend the maschine anyway). In the latter case a new login screen is displayed, very often with a textfield to enter the password Please notice that this is only one bug in a series of issues with logging in in lightdm. I expect the issues to be interrelated and therefore sugest to have a look on the other reports as well, which a avaliable through my profile. I will provide direkt links later. cheers ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: lightdm 1.10.1-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-39.66-generic 3.13.11.8 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-39-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.5 Architecture: i386 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Tue Nov 18 17:18:29 2014 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-01-13 (673 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Release i386 (20121017.2) LightdmConfig: [SeatDefaults] user-session=ubuntu greeter-session=unity-greeter allow-guest=true ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=de_DE PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: lightdm UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to trusty on 2014-09-14 (64 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1393852/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages Post to : touch-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~touch-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
