I'm using a Asus UX501VW laptop with and igpu and nvidia. When I start the live image regularly I get the normal ubuntu splash screen which hangs after a while. Removing the quiet and splash options from the grub bootloader results in a booting system bug no X. Removing the quiet and splash options and adding nomodeset results in a borked X screen, see the attached image.
