It was clear and played at a reasonable max volume. I expected the same for 22.10. 4) What happened instead Audio output for my laptop (an HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13--802D) is extremely low, to the point where I thought sound wasn't playing at all. It was only when I played an extremely loud YouTube video with volume at max with the speaker held up to my ear that I realized it was playing. The same issue is happening with my laptop's headphone jack, but not when I plug in a USB speaker or play sound via HDMI. I know that Ubuntu is switching to pipewire and wireplumber for audio in the 22.10 release. Pipewire has given me trouble on other distributions that already use it for this particular device, so that may be part of the problem. I've tried increasing all volume sliders in alsamixer as well, with no improvement. Please let me know if there's any other information you need.
