No progress in the upstream bug for 8.5 years, but we don't ship Qt GUIs anymore either. So "Won't Fix".

The fix is dead easy, create the folder usr/lib/*/fonts. But there's no work-around I'm aware of that doesn't touch system files so this should be fixed in Qt5 builds. I did report it against the toolkit for two reasons 1) I can't file bugs against the qt5 ppa 2) the toolkit is where these warnings cause problems so it's "affected" in launchpad jargon.
