Frankly that went over my head, so unsure how to respond. :) I used a VM to test (manually updating by installing a deb) and all issues disappeared - that was my "test". I suppose that's not good enough according to your comment.
Perhaps let's just close this issue? I'll need to wait for ubuntu 22. Ubuntu hirsute/21.04 does include the latest version, but that isn't an LTS version, so is not an option for many of us. Please consider adding the latest version to the 20.04 apt repository?
