Title:
[EZ051AA-ABA A1528X, ATI R6xx HDMI, Digital Out, HDMI] No sound at all

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
My HDMI monitor has speakers that work in Windows 8. HDMI overrides
the speakers plugged into the audio jack; they don't even show up any
  more.

In Ubuntu Linux (12.04 LTS 64 bit), when I look at Sound Settings I
see an empty box for "Play sound through".

  After following instructions in
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules I get:

  d@cnSandlin8:~$ sudo apt-get install linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r)
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree
  Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package linux-alsa-driver-modules-3.5.0-28-generic
E: Couldn't find any package by regex
'linux-alsa-driver-modules-3.5.0-28-generic'
  d@cnSandlin8:~$

After rebooting, I still have no sound and an empty box for "Play
  sound through".
