Title:
[HDA Intel, playback] mute button does not work

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I got an HP8530w laptop. Up until Oneiric, the hardware mute button (actually
a touch-button) was working as expected. With the upgrade to Oneiric (I think,
I use it seldomly), the hardware button stopped muting/unmuting. It changes
color, though, as if it worked. The touchstrip for volume control still works
as expected.
  Any further info needed?
