Hello and thanks for filing this bug report. This report has been filed against the init-system-helpers package, but according to the bug description it does not seem to be the correct package.
As the problem is related to the Desktop installer I'm reassigning the report to the casper package. ** Package changed: init-system-helpers (Ubuntu) => casper (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to init-system-helpers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1868473 Title: 20.04 Install screen corrupt on Lenovo P73+NVIDEA RTX-5000 Status in casper package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hardware: Lenovo P73 with NVIDEA RTX-5000 QMax 20.04 Daily Build install. On using the USB drive for a new install the screen is corrupt. This can be worked around by: 1. Waiting for Focal Fossa to give the sound showing the splash screen. 2. Closing the screen so it goes into sleep mode. 3. Open the screen and hit the power button to wake the system. 4. Wait a second or two and screen loads correctly and the rest of the install works beautifully.
