This might take a few minutes. .......[sudo] password for ryan: ......................... At that point, I cancelled, since I was not sure if it was sudo itself or another process that has control of readline. Running a trivial sudo command ("sudo ls") then re-running ubuntu-bug prevented this from happening again.
