I noticed that when I have alsamixer open, and I change the volume with gnome-panel or my keyboard's volume buttons, the PCM volume changes along with the Master volume. Playback sounds properly when PCM is set around 81 (just below the red level). But changing the volume globally changes the PCM also. I also noticed that ALC1200 isn't listed in the supported devices on http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/sound/alsa/HD-Audio-Models.txt . I've also attached the output from alsa-info.sh. Hope all this is useful!
