Best guess, lacking better information, is that there was a local config or other problem previously when updating libldab, that's only been revealed now.
I would probably attempt what the error message suggests, and remove the ldap package and reinstall it. Then watch for any errors or warnings that are issued, which may give better clues what's wrong. Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I am marking this bug as 'Incomplete'.
