feel free to do so ;) I think that should be a backport of 2.7.17-2. Instead of what I said offline, the files/links should be in the same binary packages as in focal, or else you'll need changes in newer distros.

Specifically kernel autopkgtest currently use python2 and will likely be backported to bionic, and will then break.
