Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Yes - scp calls scp at the remote end. I think it's likely that the error you're seeing is produced by the remote end, so I'm marking this bug Invalid. If this turns out to be incorrect, feel free to explain and change the bug status back to New. Thanks! ** Changed in: openssh (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to openssh in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1823578 Title: scp doesn't work; required GLIBC versions not found; connection lost Status in openssh package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Command: scp -r '/home/talib/Desktop/Week 2 Lab' talib.pier...@syccuxas01.pcc.edu:/home/student/talib.pierson/ Password: scp: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.25' not found (required by scp) scp: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.26' not found (required by scp) lost connection Notes: ldd (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.28-0ubuntu1) 2.28 libc6 is already the newest version (2.28-0ubuntu1) I created symlink to libc.so.6 to see if that was the problem: sudo ln -s /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6 /lib64/libc.so.6 yet the problem persisted Does this have anything to do with [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MultiarchSpec Multiarch]?
