Public bug reported: systemd-analyze output of cloud images shows that setvtrgb.service can take a measureable amount of time to complete. Setting the color pallete for a graphical console on a cloud instance that we have no graphical console access to is not something that should be allowed to slow down boot.
Reproduced with disco on a Google GCE instance of type N1_Standard_2. ** Affects: console-setup (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to console-setup in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1823398 Title: setvtrgb causes boot delays in clouds Status in console-setup package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: systemd-analyze output of cloud images shows that setvtrgb.service can take a measureable amount of time to complete.
