Public bug reported:

We just installed 18.04 on our system and ran into this bug:
https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/8155

As shown in the thread this issue has been resolved in:
https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/8429

Unfortunately, this has not been backported to the latest 18.04 release.
This forces us to install 16.04 on our machine. (As this is a server, we
do not want to install 18.10)

** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
