In this case I use Ubuntu 18.04. On another device with Ubuntu 18.10 I have the same UI problem.
Because the view in the Pop-down usually reflect the same wrong appearance as the configuration dialogue, I thought that both may have the same source of error. This case where the Pop-down not appear with a network icon and text (only happened on 18.04) also only exist in the configuration with an USB-Thetering. It's finally only a UI problem, the Network configuration is working without Problem. Am 22.01.19 um 10:52 schrieb Sebastien Bacher: > Reading again it seems there is at least one settings issue. But if I connect my android Smartphone with USB tethering all named Profiles are showing below the new network Port (USB Ethernet) and not any more below their defined port. (visual error only) That should only happened if a profile is not active but in this case I would prefer a separate profile menu where I could choose one and add to a specific port. Sometimes the network manager entry in the menu also shows confusing or empty entries.
