Recently, when I wake it up, there are no audio output devices, neither the internal speakers nor the headphone jack produce any audio, although my computer still appears as if it's playing audio (e.g. youtube videos will play, the sound test files act as if they are playing back). Logging out fixes this issue, the speakers resume working on the login screen. I don't consider this a reasonable fix, however, as it can disrupt my work, requiring me to close and reopen all my software.
