Looks like the gnome-software bug mentioned above was a false alarm. But the Gtk module has indeed not imported those translations that were present upstream at the time of the GNOME release deadline. It is essential that these imports are triggered correctly, else we will either get duplicate work on the part of translators or ship a distribution which is not fully translated.
