Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with cups.  You made 
this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu and cups have been updated since then. 

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the 
ticket? 
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to 
this bug? 
If you are, could you let us know and, in the current version, could you run 
the following (only once):
apport-collect 1245249
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this 
particular issue.

Title:
  Failed /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 in amd64 architecture

Status in cups package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When I print pdf with Okular (KDE4 pdf viewer) or in Adobe Acrobat 9.5 I get 
error in console like "lpr: can not find libstdc++.so.5".
  I can see:
  $ ldd /usr/bin/lpr | grep libstdc
          libstdc++.so.5 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 (0x00007f7b8e530000)
  But this file not present in my system.
  But it present in /usr/lib64
  I create symlink and all works fine. My wife's computer have this bug in 
12.04 too.

  When I search for this file with 'apt-file search' I can not find it...(((
  But I find with 'apt-file search' that 'lpr' included in my system in 
installed package 'cups-bsd'.
