Unfortunately qtchooser upstream rejected this proposal. There is only a limited set of tools for which it will fall back to any installed version.
For the rest of tools, we recommend to install qt5-default package which will make qtchooser always use Qt 5 tools by default. ** Changed in: qtchooser (Ubuntu) Status: New => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to qtchooser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1781861 Title: qtchooser should select right version when only one is installed Status in qtchooser package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Bug description: I have trouble imagining I am the first person to report this, but I did not (quickly) find a duplicate. When only one version of Qt is installed, can qtchooser select it automatically? E.g. when I start linguist and only have Qt5 installed, could it start Qt5 Linguist?
