Just installed 18.04 yesterday from live usb, live usb boots fine,
install will not boot unless nomodeset is entered at boot. Will hang
showing start job for gpu-manager running. Also hangs on issuing reboot
saying stop job for gpu-manager or session 1. Tried purging nvidia-* and
was able to boot a few times, then after software updater ran it began
having the issue again.
