Effectively meaning Xenial are latest LTS release up-to-date and still supported until April 2021. Does by any chance this can be fixed in currently active LTS release, i.e. Xenial? I don't think that would require a lot of efforts to re-compile packages with IDN support and push the update. Why this can't be done with Xenial?
