Public bug reported: The software updater downloads updates automatically, although I have deselected automatic downloads in the settings. My settings are:
Automatically check for updates: Daily When there are security updates: Display immediately When there are other updates: Display weekly With these settings, I would expect the updater to notify me about available updates and ask if I want to download and install them. That's how it worked previously. However, now when showing the available updates the updater says they have already been downloaded. I am running Ubuntu 17.10 (amd64) and the software-properties-gtk package version is 0.96.24.17. ** Affects: software-properties (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to software-properties in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1757282 Title: Software Updater downloads updates automatically although downloads are deselected in the settings Status in software-properties package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The software updater downloads updates automatically, although I have deselected automatic downloads in the settings.
