This may be a duplicate of bug 1660100. However, I'm also suffering from the same issue. But I'd like to add that, after trying to edit any of the entries and clicking "OK" in the dialog that shows up, the password prompts shows up. After we input the password, the ability to check/uncheck entries in the "Other Software" tab becomes possible.
