I've put together a merge proposal that changes the way media scanner
tracks mount/unmount of removable media here:

I'd appreciate if people who have been able to reproduce this problem
give the changes a try.  The output.zip links from Jenkins contain armhf
debs, so this doesn't require you to manually build the package.  Right
now, the latest build can be found here:
