Completely agreed, ussually, Enter launches top left corner icon, whatever category it is. However, if the search is still running, the order may change and the user has no clue what will happen.
The icon that will get the Enter (probably the top left one) should be clearly highlighted. There is no icon highlighted until the user selects one using arrow keys or mouse which makes it impossible to say what will happen on Enter. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/975950 Title: Dash - No indication what happens when you press enter Status in Ayatana Design: Confirmed Status in Unity: Incomplete Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Currently there's no hint what happen after pressing Enter in Dash. IMHO it'll be nice to highlight an icon of the application (or file) which is focused and which will start (open) after hitting Enter. Look at the attached screenshot. I'm not sure what will happen after pressing Enter now: - will it start Beneath A Steel Sky? - will it open next 48 results? - will nothing change?
