Don't get me wrong, I know not containing the pointer is preferable in some cases, what I'm saying is lacking, is an *option* to contain it.
The pointer edge gestures in unity8 require "pushing" your pointer against the display edge, this is only possible in a VM if the cursor is confined. Trying with virt-manager, I've not found a way to confine the pointer. I'll try again using some of the options in the discussions linked. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1670652 Title: No way to contain pointer in VM window Status in Canonical System Image: Invalid Status in mir package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in qemu package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: In a Qemu VM, the unity8 side gestures (for the launcher and app switcher) cannot be activated.
