Maximize animation is not symmetrical: Left side is ahead of the right
side in reaching the top of the screen.

It looks like this stems from U8's synchronous resizing. Animations
however should not depend on such things (and should not wait for live
resizing). Smooth animations should just scale the existing buffer.
