Public bug reported: I just discovered Unity8's application list by accident. Although it took me a while to figure out how I had accidentally discovered it. Turns out you need to push the mouse to the left screen edge (which is non-obvious given the launcher is always visible already).
Something as important as the list of installed apps should be more easily discoverable than that.
