I have the exactly same problem on my Ubuntu Phone BQ Aquarius E4.5, OTA-13 and OTA-14. I tried with different headphones, with and without the microphone. It doesn't matter if the ringtone is a factoy one or an external MP3. I have tried with Windows bluetooth headphones integration and had the same problem. Aparently bluetooth or plain headphones don't turn off the ringtone on speakers. OOTH, SMS notifications are cut off from the sepeaker, as expected.
