Title:
  Desktop too big

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  When I first installe Ubuntu 16.04.01 64 bit Desktop was OK except for
  some screen flicker while using chrome. Tried updating the Intel Video
  Drivers then Desktop got way to big. Ended up reinstalling OS and
  fixed desktop, until computer went to sleep and the Desktop got too
  big agaain. Desktop is so large I can't see menus or launcher. All I
  can see is purple background. Able to right click to bring up terminal
  or screen adjustment. Nothing works so far. Lenovo LT 1952P Monitor.
  Lenovo M58 Computer Intel Q45 or Q43 video chip. Intel Duo Core
  Processor.
