Public bug reported: Under cups/core-drivers/1.7.2-0ubuntu1.7, printing over the network to a Lexmark cx310dn.
AuthInfoRequired username, password keeps resurfacing in /etc/cups/printers.conf (even after removing /etc/cups/printers.conf.O when cupsd is stopped and forcing "AuthInfoRequired None") when the target printer is low on toner. However, the web GUI provides no way of authenticating the job and to override the warning. Embarrassing--not to mention time consuming when you're trying to debug the beast. ** Affects: cups (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to cups in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1621912 Title: [Network Printing] Low On Toner Forces username/password Authentication Status in cups package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Under cups/core-drivers/1.7.2-0ubuntu1.7, printing over the network to a Lexmark cx310dn.
