I've the same system and the sound card. I've installed Ubuntu 16.04. I am able to get audio from speakers and headphones but not when I insert a HDMI cable connected to my TV. The Video output is perfectly fine though. I'm using NVidia graphic driver(proprietary and tested version 361.42).
The HDMI profile in sound settings is missing too.
