On one boot out of 10 it works. When the display shows corruption it is in the form of a distorted checkerboard. The machine apparently locks up as the fans eventually come fully on. The appended parameters on yaboot are: radeon.agpmode=-1 video=offb:off video=radeonfb:off radeon.modeset=1 This is the same system as in bug #1605413 except I changed out the video card. This card also does not work when trying to boot Ubuntu-mate 16.10 Alpha 1 What I expected to happen: The system boots to a normal desktop. What happened instead: Rarely do I get to a desktop. Usually the display is corrupted and the system locks up.
