You could try moving the files under /home/phablet/.local/share /webbrowser-app/ out of the way, one by one, until you find the corrupted one. When you do find it, I’m interested in knowing which file it was, and if it doesn’t contain sensitive data I’d like to inspect it, so please keep copies of the files.
Does the log file (/home/phablet/.cache/upstart/application-legacy- webbrowser-app-.log) contain any useful info? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to webbrowser-app in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1617398 Title: webbrowser-app crashes on startup Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: My webbrowser-app has stopped working. I went to use it, and wanted to access my History, as all tabs had disappeared that had previously been open. Then webbrowser-app froze, and I had to close it. I tried to reopen, but as soon as I do, it crashes, closes right away. I tried rebooting the phone, but that did not help. Nothing else was running at the time it froze. Even after another reboot, I have not been able to open the web browser. Web apps, like Facebook, still work okay with no problems. So how would I fix this? Is there a file to delete or edit in the filesystem? I have searched online already and found no answer.
