This is something that's going to be handled by the storage framework. I think ultimately the storage framework will provide a handler for content-hub, but I haven't seen the designs for that.

My understanding is that the SD Card should (eventually) be exposed in the content picker. However, we observe that the device is not mounted, so appears to be failing to be recognised at all by the Ubuntu Touch infrastructure. From a root shell, the SD Card can be mounted and browsed as you would expect. What needs to be configured to enable SD Card support?
