To force users to use gnome-software will be a regression! Examples: In old Software Center, you could add gimp plug-ins (plug-ins are recommends and suggests packages of gimp) by going in gimp description and check the plug-ins you want! In old Software Center, you could install another version of linux kernel by typing "linux" then click at bottom left to show the packages. Now, they have to use apt-get or install synaptic!
