I just discovered that the sound does not work in Windows 7 with all of
the drivers installed. In that there appears to be a hardware issue that
is keeping the sound from working, I believe this may not be an actual
bug.

Title:
[2539AZ8, Conexant CX20585, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on a Lenovo Thinkpad T-410,
sound drivers and codecs appear to be correct, but cannot get any sound from
either the internal speakers or the external headphone jack.
I tried many debugging procedures and nothing seems to help.
Furthermore, the sound-settings panel does not show a hardware tab and the
output tab shows only "Headphones-Built In Audio".
